“We are new to this and didn't know where to start. We called Waterways and all was explained. They researched all possible options for us within our criteria and we were sent an email listing them within an hour, we made a choice and booked on the same day. Easy peasy. Fingers crossed for some sunny boating days!”

“We have just booked our holiday using Waterway Holidays. I found the booking team very helpful and willing to advise . I actually changed my mind about the most suitable boat for our party which consisted of 3 generations. The booking team offered to reserve the second boat until I had spoken to my parents. I later phoned back and completed the booking which was very easy and received an email confirmation very quickly. Thank you for all your help.”

“Very helpful ladies on the 'phone but slightly disappointed that there was no mention of having to pay a deposit on boat collection. Also did not realise that Waterways are just the booking agent? We are actually going with Anglo Welsh. Have read the reviews which were rather mixed, but as people are normally much quicker to whinge than to praise I did'nt take too much notice of it. I hope I am right. This is our first venture on a narrow boat and I did'nt shop around once I spoke to Trudi and the other lady I spoke to first. Fingers crossed.”

Further to the information on our website home page, your holiday booking via Waterways Holidays is made directly with your boating holiday operator and in accordance with their booking terms and conditions. Regarding security deposits, a boating holiday operator may ask for a refundable deposit on arrival as per their booking terms. Such deposits generally apply to large groups and celebratory parties and are refunded when the boat is returned on time and in a clean and tidy condition. “This is the second time I have booked a boat through Waterway Holidays. I find their website easy to use with good search functions and criteria. The pricing on the website is transparent. The route suggestion pop up is very useful. I booked online at the weekend and an operator called me back on Sunday to go through the booking and take payment. Lesley (the operator) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We are not very experienced boaters (having only done it once before) and she answered all my various questions with ease.”
