“We booked our first ever canal boating holiday in November 2013, the transaction was fast and smooth, our boat hire was Kate Boats of Warwick and we picked up our boat from Stockton. The boat was absolutely spotless and well equipped with all the mod cons, the price we paid was only £240!!! for Monday to Friday and this included all diesel fuel, gas, insurance etc. We were allowed to pick the boat up earlier on the Monday and we brought it back later on the Friday due to no-one coming into the boat on the Friday. This was an extremely enjoyable holiday (the best I have had for years) and the 2 hour tuition (If you are a complete novice) is excellent and is a must if you intend to use the locks, as you are given a lesson on locks too. There is also a boating guide book on board and a 40 minute DVD giving additional tuition, also there is a map of the canal network and routes to take depending on how long you are holidaying for. Kate Boats are fantastic, professional, friendly and relaxed and we will definitely be booking again. Thank You for the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday I have had in many years!”

“It was quick and easy to reserve online one evening and I was phoned first thing the following morning to confirm and arrange the deposit. I had a couple of emails back and forth with questions and the staff responded almost immediately with polite and informative emails.”

“We were looking to book a short break on the Norfolk Broads and came across the Waterways Holidays site on the internet. The site itself is very easy to navigate and having chosen a boat we liked we found the on- line booking process very straightforward. The booking procedure has to be completed via the telephone and we received a prompt call from a very helpful member of staff who answered all our questions and talked us through the details of the booking. We would certainly recommend Waterways Holidays to anyone looking for a boating holiday.”

“Quick, efficient. We needed to call them out when a log blocked our passage out of a lock. It was no problem and was dealt with out of hours with humour and efficiency. Barge was well maintained and very comfortable. At short notice it was seamless. Will be coming back... and bringing friends!”
