“I found the website excellent. I chose a boat on line then rang up to clarify that it was suitable for two families with two dogs. I finished off booking via telephone. Very friendly and helpful. I would certainly use the site again and recommend it to friends and family.”

“I booked a canal boat holiday with Waterways yesterday and they then telephoned me back to confirm the booking. Although i have spent a holiday on a canal boat last year, there were several questions i needed to ask. They were so helpful and answered my questions fully. I went away a very happy bunny, knowing that i new exactly my plan for the holiday ahead. Thank you for your kind help. Eleanor Johnson”

“I was impressed by the range of options available, once I started checking boats-for-hire, routes etc. I was a little frustrated by the website's inability to handle requests for an extended cruise involving a 'broken-week; also by the limited response to my attempting to choose freely the dates of my cruise (despite the invitation to "choose starting day" it would only accept predetermined days ie Fri/Mon). However, on writing to your staff via the Contact Us option, I was then given sufficient assistance to complete a booking which met our requirements. I will not hesitate to recommend friends to the Waterways Holidays site, where appropriate. Cheers ... Chris Durrant”

“My booking experience was excellent. Not only did the mechanics of the booking go smoothly but we had a phone call some hours later telling us that the price had been reduced. The lady I spoke to was cheerful and gave lots of information about where we were going. Well done. Brian Bates”

“The lady we spoke to regarding booking our boating holiday was very helpful but could have been more knowledgable about the boats she was referring to. we wanted a boat that was fine for 2 adults for a full week, the boat she recommended was one that sleeps 2 but very small. it wasnt until i did further investigation into the boat we were told that this boat was ok for short breaks but not ideal for a full week. the sleeping quarters were very small and only had seating head hight room. you couldnt stand up in the bedroom area. anyway luckily we contacted the boatyard who agreed and offered us a larger boat, so all was not lost. however, it wasnt made clear when we spoke to the lady, who will remain anonymous. so anyone booking direct, please do your own homework.”

Dear Mr Harris, Many thanks for your feedback. As advised during our telephone conversation, your first chosen boat was too small for a comfortable one week holiday and hence we strongly suggested an upgrade to a larger boat whilst still remaining within your preferred budget. We are delighted that you have subsequently chosen to upgrade to an even larger boat and wish you a very enjoyable holiday.

“I've always wanted to book a trip on the Norfolk Broads and Waterways Holidays had the best and easiest website to navigate. The price's were great and the booking process was very quick and easy. All in all a great service all round. Thank you.”
