Waterways seems a good source for a wide range of canal boating options - the filter search was particularly useful. Within hours of making the online booking, the boat owners made contact to set the trip. Overall, impressed, so far.

Filled in booking form for a boat quoted on the website. Was contacted next day to be told boat was actually unavailable. Initial disappointment was countered by the great service from Gemma, who sourced suitable alternatives and got back to us very quickly.

Being on the opposite side of the time clock made things a little difficult but once the e-mail were synchronised it was not difficult to organise the booking from the opposite side of the World.

I chose to book by phone and was answered quickly. The person was friendly and efficient and answered all my questions. The only reason I have not give you very good is because he said I'd confirmation the next day - and it took 2.

Friendly service but had some issues getting through on the phone on Sunday morning. Disappointed after filling in the booking online that I could not make the Payment online requiring more phone calls to pay - a bit out of date.

I was impressed by the range of options available, once I started checking boats-for-hire, routes etc. I was a little frustrated by the website's inability to handle requests for an extended cruise involving a 'broken-week; also by the limited response to my attempting to choose freely the dates of my cruise (despite the invitation to "choose starting day" it would only accept predetermined days ie Fri/Mon). However, on writing to your staff via the Contact Us option, I was then given sufficient assistance to complete a booking which met our requirements. I will not hesitate to recommend friends to the Waterways Holidays site, where appropriate. Cheers ... Chris Durrant

I think It would be better if payment by credit card complete automatically or through like the PAYPAL system.

Booked online but after an hour nobody had contacted me to confirm said booking. So I rang and was reassured that everything was okay and an apology was given for not contacting me. Apparently they were very busy. Very polite and knowledgeable staff member took my call.

Very friendly service. Only thing I didn't like was that I had to pay over the phone, which I always feel a bit dubious about. An online option would be much better. Received a confirmation email quickly though. Overall very good
