“Excellent web site and very easy to book a craft to suit our requirements. When I contacted the company to pay for our holiday I was greeted with a very friendly and helpful member of the booking reservation team. We have been kept upto date with our booking confirmation and would certainly recommend anyone at this point as well. Looking forward to our boating experience in May.”

“Booking dates did not fit exactly to our preferences - eg: available in blocks of weeks only. So we needed to change other plans but the block date system is understandable which was no big deal. We were making booking from Australia and the email system worked well. the time zone difference was OK because responses were prompt. The narrowboat safety and operation videos were appreciated. We probably would have appreciated more info on the canal routes and attractions.”

“Very easy to find what suits your personnel needs with the search refinements. When paying for our holiday , the person dealing with me was very thorough, helpful and informative; every aspect was dealt with easily and efficiently. A PayPal option and/ or online payment would make the service even better. Highly recommended, Thank you.”

“I'm confused and annoyed. To make the booking, I had to agree to conditions that were not available to me. Now some unknown organisation (Heather at Wyvern Shipping) is telling me I should expect to pay a bond of 250 Pounds. This was not mentioned anywhere until I made the booking. I also received an email from another unknown person (Lesley Richards) asking for the crew names that I have already supplied and asking to to start corresponding with some other organisation (: bookings@canalholidays.co.uk)”

Dear Mr Wilson. Many thanks for your feedback and very sorry for any confusion. Waterways Holidays works directly with each boatyard and you will receive confirmation from both Waterways Holiday and the marina from where you start your holiday. I can categorically confirm that there is no requirement for a £250 refundable security deposit or 'bond' payable on your holiday. Any extras will only ever be as quoted to you at the time of booking. I have also emailed you directly to confirm this. Once again, sorry for any confusion and we wish you a great visit to the UK and a very enjoyable boating holiday - Nigel
